So U. doesn’t turn up at tuition and I end up sitting there alone with other people around me. Of course there was S. but he was busy. So I’m opposite this other girl and this other boy who are flirting. They’re doing problems, but - I’m unnerved. Come on, why, a public flaunt? So I sit with studying the silence sitting across us. I’m bored. I yawn. I’m bored. I yawn again.
She asks me if she can take the Question Book back.
I nod ‘yes’. I’m bored again.
Somehow the tuition finishes and I return. The road is dark as I wait for the bus. All I hear interrupted by occasional hasty-vehicles-passing-by-creeches are occasional bird-droppings clunking on the Road.
